🙏 Thank You, Washington DC
With hearts full of humility and gratitude, we bow in deep appreciation to Washington National Cathedral for their profound warmth, grace, and generosity in hosting today’s sacred Peace Gathering and Interfaith Ceremony. Spaces like these remind us that when doors open with kindness, hearts open with hope.
🙏 Message from Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara at Washington National Cathedral
This is the profound message from Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara at our Peace Gathering and Interfaith Ceremony at Washington National Cathedral today in Washington, DC:
"Right behind me right now, we have all faith leaders. And in front of you all, you can see all religious leaders here together for this ambition: peace.
This is the first time for me that we are walking together. We are walking together on this path to find peace, for ourselves, to share that to our nation and the world.
For me, this is the moment where I will remember for the rest of my life. And I hope you do the same."
Today was not just an event.
It was a living prayer.
A reminder that beyond language, beyond religion, beyond borders — the human heart still longs for harmony, safety, and compassion.
This sacred gathering united faith leaders and thousands of souls from different cultures, traditions, backgrounds, and life journeys — all standing together in one silent, powerful agreement: Peace is not optional. Peace is essential.
May this moment continue to ripple through time — inspiring us to walk together, work together, and choose peace together… not only in historic places, but in our homes, our communities, and our daily choices.
And today, the world also witnessed the growing global impact of the Walk for Peace — a movement turning steps into symbols, and presence into purpose.
Along this journey, Aloka the Peace Dog has touched hearts across nations — reminding people that peace is not complicated, not political, not distant.
Peace is loyalty.
Peace is trust.
Peace is silent love walking beside us.
From children to elders, from cities to small villages — this walk has become a living message:
🌍 When we walk for peace, the world walks with us.
🐾 When love walks beside us, hope follows.
May you and all beings be well, happy, and at peace. 🙏✨
